My name is Noël Arring, DNP, PhD, RN, and I am an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing. I have been an Oncology nurse for over 20 years including positions at Mayo Clinic where I led nursing research, evidence-based practice (EBP) and co-led the development of their cancer survivorship program in Arizona. I am currently a principal investigator in the UT Cancer Symptom Science Intervention (CASSI) research team, where my work focuses on developing interventions for cancer-related symptoms like sexual dysfunction, fatigue, and hot flashes. Our interventions range from hypnosis and virtual reality-based nature exposure to pharmacologic trials. My research aims to address cancer-related health disparities faced by underrepresented communities including rural women, women of color, the LGBTQ.
